Whilst walking through the busy streets of Ortigia, Sicily I spotted this barber reading his newspaper. The rays of light streamed in softly through the shop window and door, illuminating the barber as he took a break from his work and read the paper. I popped my head in and in my terrible (nonexistent) Italian, asked if I could take his photograph. At first the barber thought I wanted to capture a photograph of his barbershop. When I clarified and asked for his photograph, he was shocked but thankfully agreed.
